A wonderful opportunity to meet the green leaders and engineers of tomorrow!

The CAA is responsible for all of Taiwan's aviation, from airport operations to international cooperation. Since the large-scale implementation of sustainable aviation fuel will likely not happen anytime soon, Taiwan's airports are pursuing their own strategies to reduce the carbon footprint from all aviation operations.

In an event co-organized by the Low Carbon Initiative committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan, we had an opportunity to meet the people who will be shaping Taiwan's fuel policies over the next decade.

Smart, greener fabrics are all the rage now. No wonder that the Taiwan Textile Federation was interested in finding out more about renewable fuel options for their manufacturing machinery, backup generators and auxiliar electricity generators.

Mr. Justin Huang, the Secretary General of the Taiwan Textile Federation, was kind enough to arrange a workshop with the CEOs and leaders of Taiwan's major textile manufacturers, with a lively Q and A afterwards.

Airports use dozens of highly specializes (and expensive) diesel-powered ground-handling vehicles. Purchasing an entire new fleet of electric replacements is not economically viable in the short run - but HVO is.
